How many bags of Polymeric sand do I need?

I'm installing regular concrete pavers soon in our frontyard and it's going to be about 550sq ft. How many bags of Polymeric sand will I need? The one's I find here at homedepot are 50lbs per bag. Unfortunately it's the quickrete stuff. I don't know where to find the better brands like alliance or Techniseal here in Arizona :(

Go online and look for Belgard, Unilock, Techno, VersaLok or some other manufacturer of pavers and look for dealers in your area. Once you find a dealer they will most likely have quality polymeric sand.

As for quantity, it will depend on the type of paver you are using and the joint widths between pavers.

Really? I have never used holland stone, but I was hoping for closer to 100 sqft for those tight joints.

Holland stone specs are 105sq.ft. per 60lb bag.

I mean buy 7 and if you have too much take one back at your convienence instead of running for one extra one and blaming zedo for not giving sound advice. :)

We have never done better than 60-70 per bag. No matter what kind of paver we have used.
