Has anyone seen any of the new products Henry will be showcasing at MAHTS? I have worked with a few of their custom colors this year, but have not seen the 4 color blends yet.

It would be nice to see a thin cut veneer to match the wall block.

Is EP Henry as good as some people say? They're really overpriced here compared to some other block that the local stone yard sells.

IMO, they are one of if not the best. Their marketing is second to none. People around here ask for EP Henry patios, because thats what they think they are called. You have to hand it to them. Their name has become synonymous w/ pavers in the NE. As far as product goes, they have had some issues, but they listen to the contractors and fix them. With all of the new products they have/are coming out with I think it puts them at the leading edge of the industry. Their only competition is Techo-Bloc IMO

Did you get to MAHTS? I was there Wednesday and saw all the new products. Wow, over 500 new items (if you count all the color combinations). To be honest, as a dealer, this is hard to swallow. Don't know WHAT to stock. They are adding about 6 multi-color blends. A couple of them are pretty nice but I'm not excited about all six. They are adding Anchor's Highland wall and an untumbled version of Coventry Wall. Lots of new veneer and they are reselling Boral Clay Brick. We don't have pricing yet but hope to have our 2008 price list out by March 3.
Hope you can make it to our Open House on March 8. EP Henry donated 76ers tickets for our door prize drawing. And free food & beer. (Sorry for the ad)

They are also coming out with imperial double sided wall, can't wait to see the price on it hopefully it will be competitive. I don't see a major difference between the rustic double sided and the coventry besides the color being a little duller.

Is it true with Techo that you can put regular salt on them for icing and it will not hurt the product ? That is what I heard.

Absolutely. Honestly I have only used EP on one job. We use alot of Cambridge and unilock for middle class jobs and upper class ask for Techo by name. Techo has always been a superior product, but I was very impressed by some of the products and ideas at the show from EP. It looks like they truly listen to the contractors and give them what THEY want.
Even step threads? hehe. I was hearing that the corner bullnose from Techo wasn't that desirable in life. And the same about the new natural stone wall as well. Techo backs their products with guarantees. I haven't used too many of their products, but let's hope they stand behind their products when it counts. I'm wondering about the salt/deicer guarantee particularly. From my understanding, salt isn't good for any concrete products, but techo is made from granite dust. Any info on this?
