maybe I'm seeing double of some beds I can't tell.
Doesn't seem like enough plants.
Say hello to bambi and his friends to!
How about some dwarf lilacs and spirea?
What kind of boxwood other than greenvelvet? Wintergreen seems pretty deer resistant in my area.

Sounds like a list for a commercial job. It's all about placement. I see just about all partial shade areas around the woodline. Try using things like Acuba, Pieris, Mountain Laurel, Leatherleaf Mahonia, Skip Laurel, Ferns, different hostas, Native Rhododendrons, Viburnums, Skimmea, Serviceberry, etc. Keep the woodline plantings natural. Do your barberry, boxwoods, dogwoods and grasses up by the house. Mulch seems about right, but I also think your plant list is a little sparse. Don't forget about perennials.
I agree, sounds like a builder package. You definately need MORE plants including perennials like Adam said. Ferns, more forms of hosta if you're using 24 (there are PLENTY of options for shade perennials), I would add some Heavenly Bamboo, Russian Sage (deer resistant), Ninebark (native), Hardy Hibiscus, and Fothergilla 'Mt. Airy' (Native; white flower) to the other suggestions given.

Thanx for the replies!!! I've been working on the list still and I realize its unfinished......anyway here is some more stuff I've added. I'll look up the plants you guys have suggested.
Rhododendrons
Oakleaf Hydrangeas
Forsythias
Laurel 'Otto’s'
Nandinas
Also, yes you are seeing double on some of the beds, I did that just to give you a better anle and also an up-close of how bad the beds are.
FYI Otto's aren't looking that good this year from what I saw. Of course it depends on the source. They are one of my favs.

Should naturalize try: Fothergilla,Clethra,Ninebark, Viburnum (Praegense or Burkwoodi also Mariesii personal favorites)...Itea, Hamamelis 'Mohank Red' Boxwood belongs in formal gardens NOT ALONG THE WOODS also try Kalmia hybrids might work if the soil is acidic and well drained....the soil in the pictures look horrible so amend it extremly well or avoid perennials...

I am BIG on using perennials, as well as shrubbery.
And in the pics, I see all sorts of opportunity to use all sorts of colorful perennials.
A good scaper will layer and texture :)

Anytime....I wish I could offer more on the hardscaping side but I really only started with HScaping about two years ago and I think this site is great and I've already gotten some good info just surfing the site. The least I could do is give back what I know best.

This site is just becoming better and better. I love that we have such a well rounded membership. I can't imagine where I'd be without all of the generous people on this site! There are few things in life where you get back as much as you give!
ClearValley, I can't wait to run some softscape designs by you! Between you, JZap & Papercutter, we've got some great softscape specialists on the site!
Hey Adam, don't be so modest, you add unique ideas in all aspects of this site as well. Landscape & Sketchup (you're a virtual 3D genius) seem to be your strong suits as well. That and hussling pool tables at the local ballet. haha
