Well stage one is complete, now ready for a dump unit, looks like it will be close to a month before it is completed. I guess this is the price you pay for buying used!

Fell thru long ago, payload was not great, and service (lack of) was a BIG issue. Hey I saved 25k and it'll last me years.

Used to be on the Penske fleet somewhere in the mid west. Its been shortened to 102" ca, painted white, we had to add a pto gear in the auto tranny to accomodate the dump unit. Its been ongoing for about a month and a half and I'm getting real anxious to see it in my yard.

I bought the truck and shopped out the work from the same guy. I remember him talking about a couple of grand for it. This includes new brake lines as well.

Zedo, when all is said and done, how much can you legally haul in the bed of that truck?

Hmmm - I believe it was I that stated that the payload of the Kenworth was chitty compared to the size of the truck.... Anyway, looks great! I look forward to seeing the truck in one piece!

I am hoping it can legally carry 6 tons. Don't quote me on it but I will get it weighed once the box is installed and tanks are full.

I believe you are right, twas you who told I. I was really dissapointed to let the Ken go but word has it the service dept. was crap (on their defence they have improved I'm told), and I was misinformed by the salesman about upping the gvwr rating to cover my butt if I was pulled over. I spent an hour with a transport officer and he told me that the allowable gvwr is what is on the door panel even though the axles were under rated on it. So after all my research it only made sence to go back to the original deal I tried to make on the international. I am happy with my choice.

Just watch those seals on the rear diff. International has problems with tthe seals leaking relentlessly.

Great choice for a truck. Those Dt's have a lot of balls. Not sure what the weight laws are in canada but that truck will hold 8 yards of stone or 10 yards of topsoil no problem. Looking forward to seein it all done.

I will be using a 12' dump with 16" sides and extensions so likely will hold 6 yds max. Anything over that we will be over weight. I have to keep the limit under 26k lbs.

Thought I would share the latest picture of the 4300, still have to go pick it up and put the logo, tool box, side boards etc. Oh ya and a bit of mud!

Few more of the 4300, need sideboards and tool box. Payload is 5.89 metric tonnes or in your language 12,980lbs. Hauls like a dream, drives smooth, turns on a dime and is relatively good on fuel. I enjoy driving it much more than my 6500.

Gorgeous Zedo! Looks even better with your vinyls on the side. I'm sure that will be one of those things that, once you own one, you won't know how you ever got by without.
It goes great with your new shop too!
