I have tried a few "wet look sealers" on natural stone applications, specifically thermal bluestone, irregular bluestone, and granite flagging. I haven’t been satisfied with the results. It either doesn’t provide a real "wet look" or just seeps into the stone and does nothing aesthetically even after multiple applications. Anyone have a product with good results?

Have you tried the Techniseal products? A true wet look (glossy) will also be very slippery.

I have yet to seal a natural stone job but we have had great results with the techniseal wet look product on pavers. Just make sure to use a roller and not a brush. And yes it can be slippery after it rains. They also make a natural look seal but most people liek the wet look better.

Vexcon chemicals has an extensive line of concrete and masonry sealers. I carry their line of "paver reneu" sealers and have had great success. I think its a better line than the techniseal. I am currently trying out three of their "natural look" penetrating sealers on thermal bluestone. If those seem decent, than I'll try out some of the wet look style. Check out their website. www.vexcon.com

Try using a certivex 30% solids or cure-n-seal 30. I like the Cure-n-seal its already dilutted and ready to spray. I usually us a XR-9 airless spray to seal with nice even coat and gets in all the pores of the stone etc.

Stay away from paver sealers for natural stone. You might want to try and look in the tile section or a tile store. Ask for an outdoor natural stone sealer. There's a ton of them for slate specifically and others for marble and granite. Might be worth a shot.

Depending what base your sealer is ie:xylene you can incorporate a product called "Shark Grip" that is available in your local Sherwin Williams stores. There are two sizes 3.2oz for 1 gal and 1lb for 5 gal. The price should be about $7.00 and $13.00. You basically mix it in the container and apply it. It is a polymer. Very small round particles that work along the same lines as the old "broadcast sand over the paint you are using around the public swimming pool" concept that some of us experienced when we were kids. The difference is you do not notice these particles and you don't rip your feet us walking on it. Just a potential option. I can get Bob from V-Seal (the company that manufactures our sealer) to give us answers on more technical details from sealer line to sealer line.

Does anyone use a sealer on walls?

NO
I use Vexcon from Allied no less :first: but seriously Paver renu degreaser works well to clean, efforesence cleaner, I usually push customers towards the natural finish b/c we put on two coats (obviously) and it's easier to go from natural to gloss than vice versa, as I learned last year when one of our owners had us seal his 800 sq ft patio then strip it:frusty: and BTW Allied has plenty of great stripper if you ever need it. That's stripper as in sealant remover.
And I can't tell you how many people have told me this year they've had other estimates where they were told their patio needs to be sealed EVERY YEAR. Yeah I guess so, if you didn't clean it, put a few coats on and skimped on the amount of sealer.
