Here is 1 we finished last week job stretched out 2 weeks due to rain every day. This is cornerstone again we like them for steps with there lug system you can control the batter by chipping some of the lug away and keep the steps an even full block. Ill get some more pics later these are from 2 weeks ago when we first started. Hmo had us put another wall above. Steps does go higher. I buried a lot of blocks for the pedistal but i know it will last. Chris this is the job we spoke about hmo changed there mind on step location worked out better running steps back in.

Mike, from the pics, the job looks tight.

I feel your pain on the delays. At the moment, we have one that was supposed to be based in last Thursday. With the recent weather, we'll be lucky to be based in by Monday afternoon.

A real pita job. But we got it done in time. I will go back next spring and landscape. Above the steps we put in a 5-6' high wall then had to help put in a storage bldg. this had to be sit before we could finish end of wall due to wrapping back in to bank. The neighbor would not let access on his property for bldg coming in so we had delay there until bldg. arrived.

Here is a few more. 2 years ago i installed the yard for this new home and had a blind ditch in front of new wall. Grade was incorrect and the only way to drain it was a blind ditch.

Mike, I can't tell you for how many years I resisted carharts. I can't even remember why I resisted. However, two years ago, I bought a pair of overalls. I still refer to that purchase as the best I've made since I went into business.

Thanks they are cornerstone a friend of mine that actually does my trucking is a dealer. Im mainly allen block but since we was doing steps this product works nice. They have a lug on bottom instead of a lip. This allows you to knock some off and almost go with a zero batter = even amount of blocks for tread. When i built steps with ab the batter forced me to have to cut blocks leaving small pieces in tread that i think looks like crap. I use mainly larger block like these because all of my walls i build in my area have some height to them. Look at the background of the pics from my new home thread and you can see the area i live. I build walls to hold back or to elimanate ugly banks not the smaller glamor walls. Location, location, and location.
