Thought i would share this wall we did in the summer heat. It was supposed to be 110' x8' ended up 145' 6-8' than add. terrace wall around 5' high. This is cornerstone block the guy who sells it is the customers brother. He rolled his mower 3 times and wanted some of the pitch taken out. Than he had us install # 2 sandstone so he wouldnt have any grass. I told him it would be cheaper to fence it in and run some cattle.

I know the first ? will be why did i end my wall on the right side like that. We used corners and wrapped the best we could due to the underground utilities going up hill there and hmo wanted the wall as far out as possible.

Mike, how many steps do you have in the base of the lower wall?

I just took this pic yesterday, any way 4" pipe with 2 extra out lets where you cant see now grass is growing . We have stone under grass with fabric cloth under top soil. Also about 10' before the end. We gridded 100% back and i have 3-4' of clean stone behind wall. The pic doesent show but between the terrace wall we have a 2' deep swale full of clean stone under the #2 sandstone. When this wall was under construction the first 1 done we had a washer of a rain like 3" in hour, i drove over only 5 minutes away and watched what was happening. Water was down to the stone and it looked like a lost river it just perked straight down and came out pipes like i wanted. We also swaled upper wall to take as much pressure off as possible.
