bump, anybody know anything about this.
I did some of the on-line tests when they first started this a while back (last winter???)
Not sure how many credits I have, and not really sure how to figure it out.
Koot, can you shed any light :pound:
I'd like to get it but haven't looked into it yet ...would like to fly somewhere warm to do it. :)
I actually emailed ICPI today looking for a class for Level 1 for a few of our guys to take this winter.

How did you take tests online? Also if you take them online can you still get certified?
Anyone know?
I think that some classes can be taken online, but enough to attain a certification.

Let me know if I'm wrong, but i believe that you must take 24 hours of online credits and then take a one day class.

They were offering one in each ICPI mag issue over the winter. You read the article and then took the test on-line.
Now, you gotta pay for the courses. I don't know if what I was doing meant anything or not. I'm pretty sure the credits were good towards this level II, but I don't see it anywhere:noidea:

I'm getting ready to start my level 2. I am also looking into getting my ICPI teaching cert.
So there's no confusion the online course is for level II only, not basic installer cert. They're not offering ICPI cert at MAHTS this year for reason which you'll probably find out at MAHTS if you go. My belief is that just like the authorized installer program a bunch of contractors became certified to put the logo on their truck, but aren't using the knowledge in their daily installs... Here's info on level II...
