I don't think I have ever formally introduced myself. I am SWM 5'2", 450 lbs...and love to eat. Now that I have the mental image set...

Really, I will be 33 in June. After high school I went into the US Navy were I received my education in meteorology and oceanography. After four years of that in Hawaii I decided I wanted to get a real education, so I moved back to Dallas and went to the University of Texas @ Dallas and received a BS in Accounting.

My "dream" was to be an accountant. But mid-way through my degree program they changed the requirements in this state to get that license, with no grandfather clause. The minimum now for that certification was a Masters degree with 40+ hours in accounting + THE TEST. Now imagine how exciting that is, least to say the dream burned out pretty quick.

So while I was going to school I was working at an up and coming mortgage company (owned by a bank), and after graduation I became a senior financial analyst with the same company (three positions later). By this time they were a top 15 mortgage originator in the country. Already being bored of this, and the love of the outdoors, I started my company in August 2006 as a part time passion. Fast forward to present day, and the crisis the mortgage industry is in, I was notified that they were eliminating our division, possibly selling the company outright. So, the jump to full time is eminent, but I don't know when that will actually happen (either enough jobs lined up, or they hand me the 16 week severance package). Either way it will be within the next 12 months. So, with that said, all my jobs to date have all been wet lays and pergola's. So I am doing more learning than teaching right now on this site. They only pavers I am familiar with are Pavestone, but as you mention regular on this site as "Home Cheapot", that is the only company around here that sales through Home Depot or Lowe's. So, it is a pleasure to meet everyone, and hopefully I can articulate my thoughts as well as some of you. :humble:

Pickel is actually the last name. It was shortened from Pickelheimer a century or so ago...don't ask me why.

Oh, and I don't really weigh that much. :gossip:
