was looking at the seminar reg. on the MAHTS web site and saw that they don't have any ICPI seminars this year. i want to send my foremen this year to get certified. plus they don't have any good free seminars and most are over priced. looks like ep henry is passing the cost on to us now.

Chris did you go to the "luncheon" last year?

No, but I was hoping to do it this year. The snow messed us up last year. I heard from my supplier that EP was cutting back on seminars and training. A) They eliminated Conserv B) They don't like that they foot the bill for ICPI/NCMA training and guys go to other manufacturers and become authorized. Where did you see that, I looked on www.mahts.com (http://www.mahts.com) and they don't have it listed yet.

well maybe if the leads they sent actually paned out they might be more loyal? i know my conserve rep went to CST this year, sucks he was a good guy. i got a call the other week from my new rep. have they eliminated conserv for none authorized guys, or every one. what do they care, they get their $250 bucks don't they?

i saw it on the mahts website. you have to download the brochure or pretend to register. they should have sent you an email today from EPH.

I guess they get some money back, but it can't be cheap to rent out that whole convention center. As far as I know, they eliminated it all together.

when i talked to him he seemed like everything was hunky dory. i had a feeling after the year the industry had that they would be cutting back. ep henry's not the only show in town anymore. don't know if that is good or bad?

i know that loosing conserv would be a bad thing.

I talked to the Ep Henry rep during the summer and I thought he said they were having it. Now I don't see or hear about it. I was looking to get certified also.

They are going to rely on their salesmen to pick up the slack as far as technical help

I had an issue with a rep from cornerstone when we spoke a few weeks ago. He couldnt help me when i was considering a pedistal in front of wall. He didnt have a clue and told my supplier i threw him a curve ball. I feel a rep should know more than me its his product after all.

For those of us who can't fly to TN with employees to get certified.
I heard that (rumor) EP Henry was claiming too many people went for the certification and didn't practice ICPI guidelines and/or those companies weren't EP Henry authorized. Which would make sense along with what you guys were saying... they saw that the companies getting certified weren't using EP Henry products and were only there for the cert. We went to the luncheon last year and the town meeting as well. I actually remember asking in the town meeting "What's the value to the Authorized contractor program TO THE CONTRACTOR, if it's so easy to become authorized?" They quickly responded with they dropped 33% of the authorized contractors from last year (which was probably b/c they had outstanding balances with distributors and not their quality of work). But we brought up this week that we're afraid customers that see our EP Henry authorized logo in our marketing will think we're exclusive (I know others have this worry as well). I just hope EP Henry sees that if there's no value to being a patron, they why would anyone be one? One of the main reasons we use EP Henry is for product consistency and technical support when needed. If they start cutting back where will that leave EP Henry and us?
