Base!!

We have alway used 304 limestone for our base.

The other sand pit we buy from has what they call Road-base, its Like 304's but it has from like sand up to 57's. Its what they use for base when they put new roads and stuff in.

We put some down for a guy in his drive way, and it packed just like the 304 limestone did.

Could you use this as base ??

Its $8.00 per ton, where 304 is $15 a ton.

See if your supplier can get you a sieve analysis of the stone in question. ICPI calls for 0-8% fines passing the #200 sieve for optimum gradation
