The patio has to be worth as much as the house...

Do you think you could get the rest of your foot in your mouth. Man you must be a sagittarian, cause I do that all the time to!
Nice work chesie, do you have any details on the bbq set up that you could share. Looks like celtik block you've used.

Actually it's not my house, he just left himself wide open for me to help insert his foot.
Sodking- it's funny you make that remark because we heard that about 12 different times while working on this project. It was my same thought as well.

Here's a close up.
I am almost ashamed to post it- here sits a $250 grill in the middle of all of this. Yeah I know custom fit it will be h**l to replace when it comes time. Ever have those jobs that you cannot talk someone out of simplest little thing, well here is what happens when you lose.

Ok one last one that we are still working on. Not finished, so yes some things are missing. Still need to thermal some edges, add doors, fill stone under grill, etc.

Chesie, Is the stone in that last pic natural, or manufactured?

Natural. It is Colonial Stone that we dressed most of the faces on.

Were the stones "naked" when you bought them? What does it mean to dress the stones? Did you mortar them to block? is that one large pieceof bluestone on top or a couple of pieces? More pics of that grill I think its awesome.

By dressing the stones I mean that most of the stone faces have been chiseled or hammered to even them up. The top is actually multiple pieces of 6 side cut thermal flagstone- one piece would have been nice but the top measures 4' x 12'. The stone is stacked on a footer and tied to the block w/ metal tabs.

The stonework looks really nice.
Very nice work Chesie. Is that a Crapemrytle? I have the same exact grill as the first pic, but I paid more than $250!!! haha Anyway, I had a customer ask us to do something similar and we made a cutout for his grill. I took a closer look at these stainless grills. You could actually take that sideburner off quite easily and get a more custom look, but it would end up making you responsible if something went wrong down the road. And cost more in labor than the grill costs, hehe.

I appreciate the feedback guys. I will try and get some more pics of the stonework up soon, we are also building a stone fireplace, steps, seat wall, and columns on this job as well.
Yep Muskogee Crape. I thought about taking the wings off the grill as well but the liability of tampering w/ the gas crossed my mind and I said forget it.
