Another night

Here I am trolling the forums since 5 am and why?? Because the weather men can't even come close to being right. yesterday morning it was4"-6" the night before 8"-12", 5 pm last night 2 inches of sleet and then freezing rain 9aka freaking mess). 11 news last night sleet and freezing rain until 4 am, 4 am when i finally sent the stand by crews home.. Torrential Down pours!!! and we know how much it sucks to unload salt trucks in the rain!!! Now my sleep pattern is going to be all screwed up yet again!! Oh and the wife is pissed because she thinks i will be grumpy again all day, lol

I wish. Actually, I was horizontal, staring at the insides of my eye lids. Bummer, our main site (where we get paid to watch it rain) is closed on the weekends , so they are not as paranoid. Forecasted temps in the 40s didn't help either.

We are getting pounded up here in Ontario. Just plowed 10" off my driveway a couple hours ago. At least 3" since then has fallen. Still coming down hard. :dance:

yeah, it sucks down here too. last week it was 75deg. everyday and now it is in the low 60's. GEEZE!!!

WE DON'T PLOW!!!! Woohoo! :whoo:I even told my bosses when I was hired "I don't plow, and I will never plow, if you wanna plow...don't even ask" But no one in our company wants to plow. We rent our bobcat to one of our tri-axle drivers to help pay for it during the winter.

Yes i fgiured its the week before X-mas why not, there gonna be a ton of people around, can you believe it was 5 am and there were like 30 people in line at Target, wtf it dont open until 8 am!!!
Poor Rusk was out for 13 hrs, lol, wait until you get 24 under your belt then You will be tired, when your eyes are red and burning and you see pink elephants running across the parking lot. or you push snow into a pile and fall asleep at the pile for about 5 miniutes, only to wake up startled becasue your still in Drive, lol.

I almost put my plow through a garage door once. I dozed off as I entered the driveway and opened my eyes right in front of the door.:scared: The driveway was not much longer than the truck.

Hey i plowed for the last 8 years and love it, i just found that playing in it is alot more fun. LOL

Do you guys remember the '03 blizzard i believe it was? we got around 2' here in south jersey. i was out from Sunday morning until wed afternoon with 1 8hr break. i never wanted to see snow again.

one guy swore he was seeing little men run across the snow when he was backing up.

i went to wawa, poured my self a cup of coffee, probable the 50th cup, and then took a tea bag and started dipping it in the coffee for at least a good 60 seconds before i realized what i was doing. WTF

At one point i was falling asleep driving the backhoe from one job to the next at 25mph bouncing around in the cab and everything else.

funny thing is i still miss it this year, you either love it or hate it. kinda gets in ur blood.

i dont think we got that one here. we got one in '96 though, that shut the state down. i was trying rent a backhoe then, but its hard when ur 16 year old.
