I just found this new PICP certification on the ICPI website. Looks to be a new class and thought some of you may be interested. It is In Washington DC however, which is probably a big hike for most of you guys. Heres the link:

There is one in Vegas on February 4 th or 5 th at world of concrete.

ICPI Introduces Two New Installer Certificate Courses
The first course, PICP Installer Technician Certificate Course, is designed for contractors who are presently doing residential and/or commercial segmental paving projects or who wish to move into the PICP market. The companies might already be installing PICP, or are aiming to expand into the PICP market. Participants should be experienced contractors, and must hold a current ICPI Level I Concrete Paver Installer Certification.
PICP Program Content
· PICP overview and systems
· Job planning & documentation
· Job layout, flow & estimating quantities
· Soil & site characteristics
· Sub-base & base materials
· Edge restraints
· Bedding & jointing materials
· Paver selection & installation
· Maintenance
The second course, Level II Concrete Paver Installer Certificate Course, is designed for foremen and higher-ranking personnel employed by construction companies installing segmental concrete pavements. These companies might currently be installing commercial applications or they may be planning to expand into this market. Participants should be experienced contractors, and must hold a current ICPI Level I Concrete Paver Installer Certification.

· Introduction, Objectives, and Prerequisites
· Pavement Design Overview
· Stabilized Bases
· Bedding Sand Hardness & Durability
· Overlays & Inlays
· Rigid Applications
· Roof Plaza Decks
· Crosswalks
· Concrete Grid Pavements
· Commercial Installation & Mechanical Installation
· Contracts Overview, MasterFormat, General Conditions, Liens
· Construction Details, Plan Reading, Submittals, Retainage
· Estimating Software & On-screen Takeoffs
· Marketing Your Company
The objectives of both of these courses are to:
1. Help new and existing contractors learn how to meet industry-established guidelines for ICP and PICP installations.
2. Broaden, evaluate, and recognize knowledge of individuals that have successfully completed the course and passed an exam.
3. Enhance the credibility of individual contractors and provide additional industry credentials.
4. Serve design professionals and the general public by improving the value and quality of ICP and PICP installations.

They just had one in DC but i don't see any more on the schedule.

Anchor block out of Jersey is talking about having one sometime this year. Not sure of North or South NJ.
