Shown here are the basic steps required to install the PL250 Series Paver Lighting system
1) Mount the transformer to the structure, and plug into a weatherproof GFCI Protected receptacle. Attach 12/2 underground circuit cable, and route the cable in close proximety to the fixtures on the sand setting bed. Avoid placing the cable directly under the fixtures.
2) Place your paving stones right over the cable. There is no need to leave a messy wire loop for splicing. We recommend placing the pavers on sand only, as the use of screenings do not allow the cable or components to recess down easily.
3) Measure and mark out where you would like the fixtures to be. To avoid the airport runway look- stagger the fixtures. Evening Star Spot Lite Disks are a great layout and marking tool for this purpose.
4)Participating Evening Star Dealers can provide coring of the pavingstones. The Evening Star Field Install Kit is shown here for coring out in the field. The Adjustable Coring Template is used for the first 10 seconds to precisely position the hole.
5) Coring is done in about two minutes per hole. We recommend drilling on a pallet, or piece of scrap wood, with a hole drilled slightly larger than the bit (about 3" diameter). This will prevent the core from getting lodged in the bit.
