I like the glass lens on the integral type lights thats a great concept. In the paver installation pics why do the use those junky connectors?

Fixtures that use Halogen lamps require a protective lens over them to reduce the burn hazard. They don't provide any type of optic. This is why you see hot spots.
Our fixtures use a polycarbonate replaceable lamp module, with two incandescent lamps sealed inside. The polycarbonate lens has built-in optics to spread the light out. We further have the module fixed at a 30 degree angle to project the light down and out, away from the wall, and onto the ground where it is needed most. Other brands leave a definitive "arrow shaped" shadow, which is due to the orientation of the lamp socket. I will post some photos to show the light comparison.
The lamp modules have a 15,000 hours rating, and are IP67- completely waterproof to 3' The fixtures are 100% reliable in the direct path of irrigation systems, or if used as a step light- zero corrosion with de-icing salts, or frequent wash down used in commercial applications.
For those of you that have installed paver lights before, there is no easy way to lay the circuit cable, and assume just 'where' the fixtures are to be placed. The conventional way when using wire nuts, is to leave slack in the cable, and form a loop for splicing. This makes laying the pavers difficult, and slows your crew down.
Once the fixtures are in, it's time for the client to occupy their new space. What happens when the paver lights you placed along the house is in the way of patio furniture, barbeque or planter?? If you wish to move or re-locate a fixture, you must now cut and splice, where there is NO SLACK to do so.
The Power Tap Connector allows you to lay the circuit cable on the setting bed FLAT- quickly and easily. After all the pavers are in, only two pavers need to be removed for the connection. The Power Tap Connector is a double sided UL listed pierce connector that can be reused. One side is for connecting 18/2 to 12/2, the other to 10/3 dual circuit cable.
Dual circuit cable can provide up to 600 watts on one single cable run, or up to 150 paver lights. Thats a big job. Imagine how much extra cable you would need if you had to splice 150 times.

Shown here, is the Crescent series VS other brands. Notice the smooth wash of illumination projecting out- away from the pillar, and the light falling off gradually.
Other Brands:
Wall- Truncated illumination, and definitive rectangular patterning.
On the steps- Notice the non symmetrical light pattern- arrow shaped points on the left, with excessive light projecting on the right, and nothing on the step.
