What is the best way to go about getting your certification? I didn't find the information I was looking for on thier site. Do they put on training sessions across the states like ICPI does? I'm looking for one that will be in or close to the St. Louis Missouri area.

I only seen a on-line test and that was for recertification.

usually every winter a test will be put on by at least one of your local wall block distributer. It costs about $200 and takes all day. The main goal of NCMA is to make you aware of when you should call an engineer in and why walls can fail.

NCMA is doing a certification course at Hardscape North America in Nashville (Feb. 27 - Mar. 1, 2008). Visit http://HardscapeNA.com to register. Early registration ends Feb. 5.

There is a NCMA certification package which gives you a few sessions the following day plus the trade show.

Here's a list of courses that might be more helpful. FYI on the NCMA site look under education and seminars to get this list. The course is NOT just about when to and not to consult an engineer (at least not when properly taught) is also entails how to run an efficient, safe and clean jobsite.
