Here is a planting job we finished last month on a river rock job we did earlier this spring.

That came out really nice Joe. I like the sunken boulders and the different color stone. It's going to take a good bit of maintenance to keep the landscape from becoming a jungle, but if they keep up with it....
Stone work really came out great. They should've had you pour a new curb while you were at it.
On a side note....what was the website you bought the drill attachment for pointing from? I want to pick on up in the next week or two.

Thanks for the comments Adam, You are right the plantings tend to be a little close. I used sketch up to present it. My depth seems to be a little off with plants in sketch up. I have another planting job I am figuring right now. I will be carefull to space plants better in that one. Here is the the site to get that quick point mortor gun.

Thanks Joe!
Regarding plant scale in SU, you definitely have to be careful. You could always draw out circles that represent the width of the plant in five years and lay them out in the plan view first. This would give you the same accuracy as CAD or Dynascape.

Joe, do you think that tool would work pretty well with pointing something at ground level, like a flagstone patio? Not sure if the hopper pivots, but it should.

Adam, I don't see why it wouldn't. The hopper doesn't pivot but it has a cover that slides on. Bending over and pointing shoud work fine with the gun pointed down at an angle. You will not believe how quick you can point. Let me know how you make out.
