Hey, so I noticed that I never formally introduced myself to this site. My name is Griffin and I am currently a student at Delaware Valley College majoring in Ornamental Horticulture and specializing in Landscape Contracting. I am also working towards a minor in small business. In a few days I will return to school for my junior year. My interest in landscaping/hardscaping originated during my high school years. I originally planned on becoming an architect or starting a building contracting business. Landscape Construction has become my intended career because it incorporates all my interests whether they be landscape carpentry, the outdoors, plants, and stone. Although aggravating at times, I do enjoy working with customers. :)

During my high school years, I held a few maintenance accounts and then began working with a premier landscape design/build company. I still work for this company during my summer breaks and then do snow removal during my winter break. My ultimate goal is to establish a design/build business of my own.

Thanks for making this a very informative site!

Well, I am quite happy to hear good things about the school from industry professionals...I do enjoy learning what I can outside of school, which is where almost all of my hardscape experience comes from...Most of the plant care and plant knowledge does come from my program...it does make me question a lot of industry practices
