If anyone is considering purchasing Lesco's "Prosecutor" glyphosate, DON'T do it!

We've been working on a jug since sometime in May, and while it kills grasses well, broadleaves have been taking multiple applications at higher than normal mixing rates. Even normally "easy to kill" types of broadleaves aren't affected.... According to our consultant, we aren't the only ones having issues, so STAY AWAY from it.

you know, when i started using the generic sprays such as gly-star, prosecutor, etc...........while it did work, it was very hit and miss even with a surfactant. So i went back with the original roundup and i got my good results once more. I now use the Roundup Weather Max 48%AI and its the best stuff out there. Since its a higher AI than the original, you mix less of it so its really the same price, if not a little cheaper than any of the generic, which IMO is starting to get overpriced

I would recommend trying razorburn and some sticker or soap for non selective spraying. We've been using it for about three years now on our maintenance crew. Just be careful for drifting when it's windy. It'll kill everything. Roundup is a good choice as well if it's on sale.

Maybe more info on what you have done, and have not done just to ensure reliabilty for the recommendation.

Did you wash dust off the leaves?

How long after spraying did you remain on site?

What is the light exposure like?

This was a new jug?

Thanks.

Mario-
I've since moved from IN to NH and haven't touched the Prosecutor since I took home the remnants of the jug to use on my driveway. A new jug of another glyphosate product was purchased (I don't remember the brand name) to replace the Prosecutor and it killed weeds just fine. Dust on the leaves wasn't a concern. On-site time more than likely varied by the site, but 99% of the time there was no rain following. Light exposure also varied from shade to sun. And yes, it was a new jug- at least to the company.

Unless you are only trying to kill grasses, use something else. ;)
