I am proud to introduce my web site to the world. I have worked a long time trying to put together a quality site that represented that work I do.

Marc, That’s a beautiful website. It was really easy to navigate, but captured my attention on every page. You do outstanding work, and this looks like a well thought out and executed website that proves just that..
That “Short Hills” patio is by far my favorite.

I agree some serious work. Zedo has a similiar effect when you click on the images on his sight. It makes the site much more organized. Great job!

Marc,
I think the site is great. I know how long you've been working on the site before you allowed it to be published to the web. I think it's a great example of how discipline and patience can pay off. I also have plans for a new site and I want to be careful not to rush it's release too quickly.
As far as specifics, I like the simplicity of your site. I think breaking your portfolio pics up by area is a good way to let people know what areas you work in, without adding a bunch of obnoxious zip codes to your site like some of us have. I'm sure it also doesn't hurt with search engine results.
Do you have any plans on marketing through the internet with the site, or are you going to solely use it as a target for your ground marketing?

Currently I am planning to market myself with architects and other design professionals. I am hoping to touch base with these people over the next few weeks and drop off business cards and direct clients to the web site. What type of marketing can I do through the internet?

You make for some harsh competition to other local companies. I am very impressed with the work and the site. The only thing i would ad is a navigation bar to the bottom of the pages so that you don't have to go back to the top to visit another page.
What program do you use to create your design images?

I did not build the site. The web designers name is on the bottom of one of the pages. She was great allowed be to make lots of suggestions and changes and she also did my logo. Very competitively priced.

I was referring to optimizing the site, or having a company do it. It's generally between $500-900 a month depending on traffic. The right company will be able to get your site to the top of most major search engines, but it's expensive.
SoutherGreen, the images in Marcs design section are from Autocad and Sketchup.

Hi SouthernGreen
I do all my designs in Autocad w/ Landcad. I use sketch up for my 3D drawings. I will post a typical 24x36 planting plan . I render my cad drawings by hand with markers.

I don't know if it is my version in IE, but the sentence right bellow the images on the main page is halfway covered by the images.
I can't even see the pictures on my website from this machine, so it may be that this thing is a dinasour...
