Hey guys I have been a long time watcher of this website and this is now my first time posting pictures so be easy on me. This is a job that I worked on over the summer/fall that we recently completed in November. Work consisted of an entire new backyard; pool, pool deck and patio, seating walls, water feature, lighting, and planting. Hope these work alright.

Ok...first time posting pics, so I'll be easy on you.:) Seriously, from what I can see it looks like a very nice job.
Is that a Cal Flame 4, or 3 burner?
after viewing the pics I got a chuckle out of the "be easy on me" comment as well. Dude that looks really nice!!!

Mbella that is a Cal 4 Burner, an extremely nice unit. As for designing it I wish, we have an in house architect that planned and designed the entire project, I was just the installer on this project. I have also found a couple more pictures that I've included. The sunroom on the house was also a new addition along with the Landscape.

Nice project! I'm assuming those shots were professionally taken. The lighting is nice....but the photoshop effect on the waterfall is a little much for my taste. Got any dirty construction pics?
Also, is that an inlay of wall caps in the middle of the patio?

Thanks for the comments. MuirView those photographs are not professionally taken, they are taken by us. I do agree that the photoshop look of the waterfall is a bit much, but at that exposure the shutter takes a good half second to snap the picture giving the water that much time to flow. In the center of the patio is a brown stone inlay (caps for the walls also) in the shape of a diamond. Within that we switched the pattern of the pavers and then added again within that a 24" X 24" brownstone inlay again. It adds a very nice touch and breaks up the pattern.

Here's a shot of the inlay also, forgot to attach it to the last post.
any construction pics of the fireplace? If not, what was your process???
MCLP - Mass??????

I don't have any pictures of the construction process sorry. I'm sure there are some in the office, I'll see if I can track those down.
As for the process of the fireplace it is sitting on a 12" reinforced concrete slab with 16" dia sono tubes down past the frost line in each corner. We then buildup using the Brussels Dimensional, filling the core with CMUs and concrete. The firebricks were then set and the Hutch chimney insert on top of that. We then built up the outside of the fireplace using CMUs for stability when we got to the flue. A piece of angle iron was installed on top of the firebox opening to support the remaining upper section. Everything was mortared together as we were unsure of how adhesive would hold up with the heat.
P.S. Yes MCLP is Mass. Proud to say I just passed the test last month.
what part of Mass - I share the title of M******* with you - I relocated out of state to try and avoid the reputation!:) Born and raised in Falmouth

We just can't shake the reputation can we. I'm from Norfolk, right in Gillette Stadiums backyard, home base for work is in Mansfield however. Any particular reason you relocated to NH?

My heart is on Cape Cod where I grew up and it is just becoming WAY too commercial and without a doubt too expensive to live down there.

I noticed you said you used a metal insert (on the other site)
How do you stop this from rusting..it is metal and it is Outside.
I called Hutch and they said its not for outdoor use and once it starts rusting there is other issues.
Its cheap though.

Hey Koot sorry I never noticed the question until today. We had a set of instructions for our insert that had how to use it both inside and outside I believe. Again I did only the installation on this project pretty much but I'm sure we were given an OK to use this outside in our application. I will check next time I head into work and see if I can dig up the manual.

I asked the manufacturer and they said it couldn't be used outside....without it rusting....I am hoping you found a way because it was pretty affordable.
