I don't do many planting jobs. We only plant on jobs we do the hardscaping on. Normally we our planting jobs have 10-20k in plant material. Does anyone know of any wholesale sources to purchase plants from that will be cheaper then my local supplier?

most nurseries down here in NC have 3 gal material for $5-8 each and large plant material cheap also. If ure doing alot of plant installs, get tractor trailer loads of plant material and have them at your disposal.
I grow most of my own material for $2-3 per plant also

maybe try a plant broker?
I just started using one on jobs with plant material over 2-3k, saves me quite a bit.
plus they do all the leg work.
But its at a nursery I've been going to for the last 6yrs

Thers are growers in South Jersey with better pricing than we get here. We'll order from them on larger jobs but stick with the locals for the small stuff. You have to be careful though. On one job we ordered a trailer load of white pines and alot of them looked bad. Fortunately the builder was responsible for them and we used them anyway.

I use the following Plant Suppliers Plant Detectives Chester NJ, Riverside Nursery Oakland NJ, and LP Statile Springfield & Colts Neck NJ. For large perennial orders and great ornamental grasses Pleasant Run Nursery Allentown NJ (Note Pleasant Run has current availability updated online you need a password which they will supply to you.) Most basic perennials are sold in #2 cans for $5.95 most grasses are sold in #3 cans and are $8.95.
I have not used this vendor but I want to check out Cicconi Farms Jackson NJ.
Another great perennial/ annual supplier is Quality Green House & perennial farm in Dillburg Pa. They deliver in NJ.
I order many of my ground cover plants from Classic Groundcovers in Athens GA. They ship material FEDEX/ UPS and you get it in a few days. Very nice stuff and you don't have to pick it up.
There are many nurseries in Southern NJ but you have to be able to order enough stuff to fill a portion of the truck. Maybe for larger jobs this is worth it but most times the nurseries above are not much more expensive.
There are so many nursery/farms in NJ it's ridiculous. Johnson Farms will deliver up to you as well. We've also used Tuckahoe Farms and Holly Hill nurseries in NJ. http://www.jerseygrown.nj.gov/retailers_info.html
