here are a couple of pics from a raised patio we just finished. this was my first time with bullnose coping, what a pain getting everything flush with those sitting on wall block.

I hate gutters rollin H2o onto the patio area....We plant all of ours. Take them a ways out beyond the patio area beneath ground or in the subsurface to a weep hole in the retaining walls. Adds so little in material and labor...it is well worth it. Sometimes I know from my experience....you get done and forget to extend and bury it.....almost want to tear up the patio to bury it.....pain in the a$$> I know....i've had to do it. Won't happen the next time though;)

The patio here looks pretty well done otherwise. I like the bullnose...softens the look. Check out tumbled bullnose...they work really nicely with tumbled pavers in your pattern.

The only way the down spout is someone elses proablem is if it was installed after the patio.

So was it?

I know of a quick fix there.....put an old wine barrel there and create a small grey water system.

gotcha both on this one. right below the grill is a drain that escapes on the street corner. My comment about the gutter is just that a gutter person is coming in to move it into the drain vs. me tring to move it myself. I have a ways to go, but i am not that green.

thanks for the positive comments.
