Rock salt, Walk

Any ideas on a drop spreader or something on that line for rock salt. I have 1200 feet of asphalt walk in a condo development. Most of the walks are 3' wide. Looking for something to apply it in some kind of uniform fashion.:confused:

Would a drop spreader work? I know most have a small hopper but it seems the best for such a small area.
