We did a walkway a few months back where the customer had those precast concrete stepping stones made to look like flagstone and wanted the walkway finished. Whoever was there before started and never finished the job, i guess they figured they would never be able to do it, anyhow this is a product i would never go out and buy to do a job but we made it look good anyhow.

still need to work on my curve cutting, we overlaid the pattern and used a cutoff saw on a marked edge, but still learning since we dont do many hardscapes

You did as good of a job as possible w/ that junk.
Did you cut that in place? You will get a much better flow w/ cutting in place.

Zedo,
That is Belgards Arbel stone, at least here it is. How do you like working with it?

We recently had a walk where the customer had purchased the materials and attempted the job. The "supplier" who is considered to be one of the respectable dealers for this area instructed him to: "dig down a couple inches, throw down some stone dust, lay the pavers, fill the joints with this bag of jointlock, and flood the area to complete." He asked the dealer for a random pattern for his front walk. He was supplied 1 pallet of Belgard pavers missing 2 sizes that allow you to make the mosaic & no edge restraint. I was pissed. I had to tell this guy he needs to dig down 8" more, purchase edge restraint, compact dense grade in lifts, screed sand, and buy another bag of jointlock. I think the dealer sold him a pallet that had been split up for a contractor, and obviously lacked any idea on the installation process. Now I look like a paranoid scientist trying to explain compaction and bedding sand compared to the "respectable" dealer. He never got his mosaic. I had to run bonds the whole walk, and I'll never use Belgard. It was very poor compared to my Bolduc :canada:

It looks like Belgards Bergerac which comes in a 4 piece and 3 piece system. This is thier top of the line paver sold in full cubes or layers only. They don't offer any pavers in this style to be used as a soldier course which is big mistake in my eye's. At the beginning of the years all I heard was Belgard was the cat's meow and now I'm hearing a lot of bad things.
