Here in the Midwest we've had unbearable rains, and seems like it all comes at the worst times. Heres a job that I didnt want so I charged double and still got it....... I was like WOOOT gonna make out on this one Mother Nature had other ideas. This job came with a short time frame before the county took her to court that had to be met. On with the show.

In the third picture you can see my tools :pound:

After buying tarps and discing in 1000# of lime we got er done but company made a grand total of $300.00 on the job that was gonna finance some new equipment. Pain is gone but was a learning experience.

Ya gotta hate it when mother nature interferes with work, but even though you made no money, you stuck thru it and thats what counts. Looks good.

Seems like that could of easily been advoided. It looks like the the spoils were placed on the down slope. If they were not put there you would of been fine. But i am guessing the wall was on the property line and there was no where else to put them. Some silt fence and hay bales could of saved you some mess.

Yes the property line was 1' off the face of wall. Small yard had it in 2 large piles but that removed alot of access to the wall. we spread it out for access then that night it started raining for 5 days. we had 5" of rain during that time period. The 3:1 slope on the one end was a challenge after that. But I am open to any suggestions that would aleviate this in the future.

Lots of hay bales. I had a tuff lesson last year. I lost 50 yards of top soil. Washed 300 feet down hill right into the woods.

Wow ok never thought of running hay bales to keep it from running down hill but that would of ate the last $300.00. ROFL
