I finished a driveway recently and the neighbour was getting stamped concrete installed at the same time... look at what happened when it rained:pound:
P.S. I hate all that crap I had to dodge at the side of the path... but whadda ya gunna do?:noidea:
P.P.S I LOVE using slabs for the steps! (front steps are getting flag/slate/etc... not my job though)

That is really weird! Looks like a manufactured step with the same defect on every one.

I have stamped concrete driveway and love it. Brick border with the middle looking like the top of a rock. Some low places in the design does hold water longer but i dont care. Im getting my feet wet with paver work in my back yard and sure glad i didnt tackle a drive way. I send this guy a lot of concrete work and i felt he give me a good deal. My driveway is around 50' x 30' 5" thick cost me $ 5,500.00. What would of a paver job run?

They are manufactured... I didn't even notice it was the same spot! I'm placing an order for 2x8', 2x6', 1x4' tomorrow so I'll show them the picture.
Mike, as far as the cost, average pavers would be $3-4k for me so you got a deal... there's just too many things that bug me about concrete that would make me never use it (colour, surface finish, sheen, slipperiness etc).

Look at my point im a wall builder not a paver guy yet. Just built new home and i dont think trying my to do a driveway would be the place to learn. I know both sides but bottom line my house my choice. I am getting paver experience in process of 25x 12 patio 60' of sidewalk on rear side of my home going to seperate parking area. Im working by my self with out my crew just on weekends. I know concrete will crack hope the saw cuts helped and maybe in the border where it wont be seen. Slippery yes it is, however i live kind of private where you have to drive out of your way to get to me and have low traffic. I know i wont be dropping my boss v-plow on it but i dont think pavers you would either. I think for my situation of no paver experience was the best choice and still looks better than asphalt.
